Carlota previous life was not exactly full of sunshine. Her "mistress" was an over 80 year old lady who was not in the best of health and by no means taught Carlota the "dog 1 x" or did justice to her energy and activity level. We ask at this point not to start a shitstorm, neither we the Animal Friends of Europe nor the animal welfare association CanFlix y AMPARE have given her into these hands. We try to restore through our work what other "dog sources" have messed up.
The owner of Carlota saw that she could not offer a perfect home and therefore left the mixed-breed lady to the association for placement.
Anyway, when Carlota was admitted to the private shelter, she reacted fearfully in some situations or pulled on the leash while walking ... there was still a lot to learn for the dog lady in her prime! In the beginning she didn't even want to go back to her kennel to sleep. Carlota wanted to run, romp, communicate with other dogs and act. But she slowly understood that she could go out every day and experience everything that was once denied to her. Day by day she became more balanced. Carlota also loves to take one of the sunny spots, soak up the sun and be petted by the volunteers.
For Carlota we are looking for a home with love and a desire to move. Gladly also with already existing dogs (male or female), please not to cats! We are sure that Carlota will have a lot of fun in a dog school.
