ANTON is one of the many puppies that are simply disposed of in the country. A veterinarian would refuse to euthanize them, so they are disposed of in this way and left to be eaten by vultures or other animals, just like we do with dead sheep here. If they are not found by an animal lover, it means a miserable death for the little puppies.

ANTON was brought with his siblings to the shelter of La Ginesta. There they tried to raise them, but only Anton and his sister BARBI survived. So both of them live already more than 2 years in the Refugio.
Anton is compatible with his conspecifics and a social dog. He also approaches people he knows, with strangers he is shy and a little bit reserved which is not surprising, because he often has to get used to new carers. In and of itself it is a quiet type.
His leishmaniasis is treated with Allopurinol and we hope that one day the test will be negative because his organs are all in the normal range.

Anton would certainly feel comfortable in a family that gives him affection and many caresses and that he has all to himself. To exchange a soft bed for his present hard camp would certainly not be a problem for him.
