We'd like to introduce you to Rufus. Rufus and his brother Rio were found and captured on the streets as part of a wild pack with several puppies and young dogs, as well as their mother. This is how he ended up at the municipal animal shelter.

Dog angel Gisela, who set up a private animal shelter in Portugal and tirelessly rescues dogs, heard about it and brought Rufus to live with her at the Quinta. Gisela and her dream team organize vaccinations and neutering for the rescued dogs, if their age permits. Volunteers, such as young people who have just finished high school, also look after some of the dogs and familiarize them with "normal life." This means that the dogs are familiar with the sound of a vacuum cleaner, have already been on a few car rides, and have even been to a shopping center. Gisela's grandchildren also like to accompany them on their explorations, so the dogs are already familiar with toddlers and children.

Rufus is very friendly and open to everything. He already walks well on a leash and approaches new situations with calmness and curiosity. Rufus is already well socialized; he doesn't get frightened by unfamiliar noises, and he loves any kind of activity. Have we piqued your interest?
