Oops, here comes Rio. Rio and his brother Rufus were found on the streets as part of a wild pack with several puppies and young dogs, as well as their mother, and were captured. That's how he ended up at the city animal shelter.

Dog angel Gisela, who set up a private animal shelter in Portugal and tirelessly rescues dogs, heard about it and brought Rio to live with her at the Quinta. Gisela and her dream team organize vaccinations and neutering for the rescued dogs, if their age allows. Some of the dogs are also cared for by volunteers, such as young people who have just finished high school, and are introduced to "normal life." This means that the dogs are familiar with the sound of a vacuum cleaner, have already been on a few car rides, and have even been to a shopping center. Gisela's grandchildren also like to accompany them on their explorations, so the dogs are already familiar with toddlers and children.

Rio is very friendly and loving, but by no means fearful. He already walks well on a leash, loves beach trips, and even approaches new situations, such as encounters with other dogs outside the quinta, with openness and usually with an invitation to play.
