Rose, a dog, was found alone on the street and taken to the municipal animal shelter by the police. Gisela, the dog angel who set up a private animal shelter in Portugal and tirelessly rescues dogs, heard about it and brought Rose to her home on the Quinta. Gisela and her dream team organize vaccinations and neutering for the rescued dogs, if their age allows. Some of the dogs are also looked after by volunteers, such as young people who have just finished high school, and are introduced to "normal life." This means that the dogs are familiar with the sound of a vacuum cleaner, have already been on a few car rides, and have even been to a shopping center. Gisela's grandchildren also like to come along on exploration trips, so the dogs are already familiar with toddlers and children.

Rose also started out on a car ride and initially expressed her doubts and squeaked. But she ended up enjoying the car ride, and upon arrival, she mustered up all her courage and jumped out of the trunk on her own. At first, she was a bit shy about walking in unfamiliar surroundings and moved rather cautiously, but once the ice was broken, she noticeably thawed and greeted everyone warmly.
