Due to confiscation, he has been in our animal shelter since October 2022 and has been officially available for adoption since July 2023.

Barrufet found his way to our animal shelter after being confiscated by the local authorities. That really means something in Spain! He and 8 other dogs were kept in terrible conditions on a company premises. Accordingly, they arrived at our animal shelter physically and mentally weakened! Completely neglected, in poor physical condition, scared, some with open wounds and full of worms.
The little one has now recovered and is officially allowed to go looking for a family. It was a long battle with the former owner, but it was definitely worth it for Barrufet!

Because of his history, Barrufet is still a fearful and insecure dog. He still has trouble trusting us humans completely. But it is getting better every day. We now train him to go for walks every day and he is really good at that! So far he has not let himself be touched voluntarily, but would never go forward. He still walks carefully on the leash but he really enjoys it. He still has problems with noise and sounds, but his self-confidence is constantly improving! On walks he is becoming more and more relaxed and curious. Barrufet is a very sweet and calm dog. He has no problems with other dogs. A confident first dog would help him a lot to overcome his insecurity.
We would like a calm family for Barrufet who will accept him as he is and give him the time he needs. We are sure he will become a great companion. Dog training would be necessary.

Barrufet moves to his new home chipped, vaccinated, neutered, tested for Mediterranean diseases and with an EU pet passport.
