Due to confiscation, he has been in our animal shelter since October 2022 and has been officially available for adoption since July 2023.

Xic found his way to our animal shelter after being confiscated by the local authorities. That really means something in Spain! He and 8 other dogs were kept in terrible conditions on a company premises. Accordingly, they arrived at our animal shelter physically and mentally weakened! Completely neglected, in poor physical condition, scared, some with open wounds and full of worms.
The little one has now recovered and is officially allowed to go looking for a family. It was a long battle with the former owner, but it was definitely worth it for Xic!

Because of his history, Xic is still a fearful and insecure dog. He still has a hard time trusting us humans completely. But it is getting better every day. We now train him to go for walks every day and he is doing really well! So far he has not let himself be touched voluntarily, but would never go forward. He prefers to hide in a corner and wants to be invisible. He still walks carefully on the leash but seems to like it. Any noise and sounds still scare him. Despite everything, his self-confidence is constantly improving. On walks he becomes more and more relaxed and curious. Xic is a very sweet and calm dog. He has no problems with other dogs. A confident first dog would help him a lot to further overcome his insecurity.
We would like a calm family for Xic that accepts him as he is and gives him the time he needs. We are sure that he will become a great companion. Dog training would be necessary.

Xic moves to his new home chipped, vaccinated, neutered, tested for Mediterranean diseases and with an EU pet passport.
