Early in the morning, our agent Bettina received a WhatsApp message from her adopter and great galgo lover Nina. At the Resur killing station in Jaen, a female galgo with six small puppies was featured on the homepage. Experience has shown that old dogs and puppies have the worst cards. We couldn't look away, every dog ​​deserves a chance at rescue. We had to act quickly, on the one hand to ensure that the family was safe and on the other hand to clarify the financial side. Since every dog ​​in Spain has to have a chip and of course we also wanted to vaccinate and provide veterinary care for the family of seven, we needed good starting capital to get started into freedom. Sunny was twice as lucky. During her examination, a purulent inflammation in the uterus was discovered and removed.
Sunny and her six puppies, who are all well and cheerful, were very lucky to be able to travel to Germany in April 2024. In Endingen am Kaiserstuhl she now lives in a loving family with cats and dogs until she is adopted and gets along well with everyone.
Sunny is very social towards the other female and male dogs, lies harmoniously in the basket with the cats and can hardly believe her luck when there is a full bowl in front of her snout. For us it is unimaginable what the emaciated dog must have been through. Her body is marked with scars from several deep injuries. We are sure that Sunny once had a home. She is no stranger to vacuum cleaners and televisions. The beautiful lady dog ​​is house trained from the start.
